All images from photographer Stephen Lean ("the Photographer") and/or this website (www.stephenlean.com) are the exclusive Intellectual Property of the Photographer and are protected under International Copyright Laws.

None of the images and no part of this website may be used without the prior written permission of the photographer. I always charge for commercial use, which is a sliding scale based on actual or projected usage. The more you want to use the image, the more I will charge for it/them.

Any unauthorised reproduction of said Intellectual Property for any other photographic concept or illustration is strictly prohibited and is a violation of copyright. This includes copying, duplicating, printing, publishing (even on a website), reproducing, storing, manipulating, projecting or transmitting by any means whatsoever.

The Simple Explanation

Here’s how copyright works: The content/images on this site are created by me, therefore they are MY intellectual property, which means they belong to ME. They are not yours, so please do not steal them.

Now, in the real world, I can’t stop you from right/left-clicking and copying/saving anything and, to be honest, if you really want to do this PURELY FOR YOUR OWN USE, ON YOUR OWN COMPUTER then I’m not going to know, am I?

But if I ever see any of my content or images being used in ANY other way – for instance: on your blog or website, or in print, or on any social media site, or for ANY commercial use WHATSOEVER – then you’d better have some pretty deep pockets (and a good lawyer) because it’s gonna cost you!

The Lawyer's Bit

Photographers always own Copyright in perpetuity (100 years, automatically renewed) and we have the right to pursue payment for any unlicenced Usage of any kind. Damages could be severe. (For example: a percentage of your profits plus statutory damages if our photographic work was used to sell a property or represent anything without our written permission and a Licence.) Copyright holders always win these Lawsuits*.

* In the event that an infringement is discovered you will be notified by certified mail and invoiced the industry standard TRIPLE FEE for unauthorized usage to be paid within 10 days of receipt of said invoice. Additionally you could be prosecuted for Copyright Infringement where you will be subject to a fine of statutory damages, actual damages and any additional profits as well as our court costs and lawyers' fees.
